                                                                      the shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot
                                                                      to a broad everted rim, finely enamelled to the interior with a
                                                                      cusped medallion enclosing a seated lady playing a qin, the rim
                                                                      with four purple enamel floral panels divided by gilt and iron-
                                                                      red floral panels, the reverse entirely plain
                                                                      35 cm, 13¾ in.

                                                                      the deep rounded sides rising from a short slightly spreading
                                                                      foot to an everted rim, finely incised and green enamelled
                                                                      around the exterior with two scaly dragons in pursuit of a
                                                                      flaming pearl, all beneath a classic scroll band at the rim and
                                                                      reserved on a rich egg-yolk yellow ground, the interior with
                                                                      a medallion enclosing a shou character, the base with six-
                                                                      character mark in underglaze blue
                                                                      10.3 cm, 4 in.
