everted flaring rim, brightly enamelled to the interior with a each baluster body rising from a recessed foot to a short
medallion enclosing the emperor and his concubine watching slightly waisted neck with everted rim, brightly enamelled
young maidens in boats picking lotus flowers from the pond, around the exterior with three bands of lotus-lappet panels
encircled at the rim by cusped floral panels reserved on a enclosing flowers issuing from rockwork, all below keyfret and
dense leafy lotus ground floret and wave bands at the shoulder and floral sprigs at the
41 cm, 16⅛ in.
neck, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by
a lotus bud finial
