           the slightly rounded flaring sides rising from a short tapering
           foot to an everted rim, painted to each side with a cusped   each compressed globular body rising from a short spreading
           panel enclosing two boys, all between chevron and whorl   foot to a short straight neck, white slip-decorated around the
           bands and divided by lotus sprays at the corners, the interior   exterior with crane in a lotus pond and all reserved on a dark
           with a large shou character to the base and a leafy lotus   blue ground, the slightly domed cover similarly decorated with
           meander at the rim,                       a kylin amidst fire scrolls, the base inscribed with the four-
           13.6 cm, 5¼ in.
