MING DYNASTY

of archaistic fanggu shape, cast with a splayed foot rising to a wide trumpet neck, the
exterior cast with archaistic cicada lappets radiating from the central band detailed with
archaistic floral designs against a leiwen ground, the base cast with four-character Da Ming
Yuannian mark ('first year of the Ming Dynasty'), the surface of an attractive variegated
brown colour
width 18.2 cm., 7 1/8 in.
