A CYLINDRICAL BRONZE INCENSE BURNER, LIAN
MING DYNASTY

of archaistic lian form, the cylindrical body supported on three short scroll feet, the exterior
centred with a band of three raised ribs, all between two raised bands of double-ribs
encircling the rim and above the feet, the base cast with a six-character Xuande reign mark
within a recessed panel, the surface with a brownish-black patina, wood cover and
turquoise finial
width 11.4 cm., 4 1/2 in.
