MING DYNASTY, 15TH-16TH CENTURY
The compressed body is raised on three stout
legs and carved below the everted rim with a
geometric lozenge pattern, each diamond square
enclosing a stylised cloud motif. It is covered
overall with a crackled glaze of olive-green tone
with the exception of the unglazed centre of the
interior and the protruding rounded centre of
the base.

A LONGQUAN CELADON
RETICULATED STAND
MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY
The rounded sides are raised on a circular foot
and cut-out in the form of four shaped ‘legs’
separated by openings of conforming outline.
There are four apertures above the ‘legs’ and
below the foliate, everted rim. The stand is
covered overall in a glaze of olive colour that
pools to a darker tone in the crevices.
