QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The seal of oval form is carved to the upper finial with a mythical
beast with a long bifurcated tail, decorated with a ruyi on its back.
The stone is of an attractive pink tone with cloudy inclusions.

AN AQUAMARINE CARVING OF A MYTHICAL
BEAST
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The mythical beast is carved recumbent with its head resting
to one side. The bulging eyes and nobbled backbone are well
defined, and the mane and tail are finely detailed. The stone is of
an attractive light blue tone.

A SMALL PINK AND GREEN TOURMALINE
CARVING OF A MYTHICAL TORTOISE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The pebble is carved in the form of a tortoise-like mythical
animal, its head turned back slightly utilising the yellowish-green
section of the stone, the finely detailed shell and feet carved out of
the brilliant pink section of the same stone.
