    A WHITE JADE DOUBLE-GOURD EWER AND
    COVER

     QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

    The well hollowed ewer is finely carved in the form of a slightly
    flattened double-gourd. The exterior is carved in high relief with
    a network of leafy vines emerging from a branch that continues to
    the narrow sides forming the spout and handle. The well polished
    semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone with areas of
    russet.
