A FINE RED-GLAZED VASE, MEIPING

YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN
UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

The vase is finely potted with with a slightly
spreading foot rising to rounded shoulders below
a short neck and slightly flared mouth, applied
to the exterior with an even red glaze of crushed
strawberry tone. The interior and base are covered
with a transparent glaze.
