A PAIR OF JADEITE EARRINGS AND JADEITE RING

SET

The earrings are set with elongated oval jadeite cabochons within

a pierced yellow gold mount. The oval jadeite cabochon ring, is
set in a similar mount. The stones are of even translucent apple-

green tone.

Mrs. Vicky Sable, San Francisco, acquired in the 1950s.

Accompanied by report no. 2155343830 dated 9 April 2013 from the
Gemological Institute of America stating that the cabochons are jadeite
jade, natural colour and no indications of impregnation.

LAVENDER JADEITE PENDANTS 105

Both jadeite cabochons have a brilliant lavender tone and some

milky inclusions set in yellow metal rings. The larger pendant is

carved on each side with a bat, surmounted by a finial in the form

of two animal masks. The stone is of a pale lavender tone with

faint russet and milky inclusion. The smaller pendant of rounded

form is carved with a bat resting on a peach and a lingzhi. The
colour is of pale lavender tone with milky inclusion.

The largest pendant: 2º in. (5.9 cm.) high (4)

and 1152335818, all dated 9 April 2013 from the Gemological Institute
