                                                                AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE GUI-FORM CENSER
                                                                18TH-19TH CENTURY
                                                                Cast in the form of an archaic bronze ritual vessel, the censer
                                                                is decorated on either side with a taotie mask centered on a
                                                                flange and reserved on a leiwen band, a further leiwen band
                                                                with kui dragons encircling the foot. The censer is flanked by
                                                                C-shaped handles surmounted by animal heads and set with
                                                                pendent rectangular tabs below. The interior is cast with an
                                                                archaistic inscription in seal script.

                                                                A LARGE BRONZE 'GARLIC-MOUTH' VASE
                                                                LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
                                                                The bottle vase has a compressed bulbous body and a tall
                                                                straight neck rising to a lobed garlic shape beneath the
                                                                circular mouth rim. A sinuous chilong is coiled around the
                                                                neck, and the vase is raised on an integral tiered stand.
