A LARGE CARVED AND LACQUERED WOOD
FIGURE OF A SEATED OFFICIAL
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The figure is shown seated with his left hand resting on
his knee and his right hand holding his belt away from
his body, wearing dark red robes with a large dragon
panel on the front and an elaborate collar and borders
with relief decoration in black and gold. His face has
a pensive expression below the cloth head-covering
centered in front by a flower applique and tied with a
bow with long trailing ends.
