               A FINELY CARVED HEXAGONAL THREE-COLOR
               LACQUER BOX AND COVER
               QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
               The top of the cover is carved with a scene of immortals and
               attendants in a garden, the sides of the cover and the box are
               further carved with figural scenes against a floret diaper ground,
               all enclosed by decorative borders.
