The body worked in gold, bronze and silver relief inlay with a bag of Supported on three bronze bracket feet, decorated in gilt, silver,
minomushi (bagworm moths) suspended from trailing branches of bronze and shibuichi flat inlay with a wide central band encircling the
kaki (persimmon) fruits and worm-eaten foliage, the neck and foot body enclosing butterflies hovering among spring plants and leaves
decorated repeated geometric motifs in fine flat inlay of silver, gilt and on a shakudo ground, the top with shippo-hanabishi (flowery-diamond
hido (red copper); stamped on the base Dai Nihon Kako tsukuru linked-jewels), the bottom with a band of interlocking rectangles,
(made by Kako in Great Japan). reserved on a bronze ground; signed on the base with the silver flat-
20.5cm (8in) high. inlaid mark of the Nogawa Company. 9.5cm (3¾in) high.
