A ZITAN BOX WITH CARVED DRAGONS
EARLY QING DYNASTY

清初 紫檀雕雙龍戲珠紋小箱

made in zitan throughout, the cover hinged on the back of the chest, the cover and front wall carved with two dragons chasing a pearl, the
two sides and back with chihulong, the front decorated with a lotus-shaped metal plate with a lock receptacle and lift-up hasp, the sides
flanked by a pair of baitong C-shaped loop handles suspending from chrysanthemum-shaped plates
14.9 by 38.4 by 20.8 cm, 5⅞ by 15⅛ by 8⅛ in.
