           TWO ARCHAISTIC BRONZE AND PEWTER LIBATION CUPS,
           JUE
           Qing Dynasty
           Bronze jue dated by inscription to the 3rd year of Qianlong,
           corresponding to 1738
           The bronze vessel heavily cast with short cylindrical body supported
           by three slender feet, a pair of posts with stepped finials rising from the
           flaring rim, the body detailed with three rows of keyfret and centered
           by a mask-form ring handle, the underside of the flaring rim cast with
           a nine-character inscription within a rectangular panel; the pewter jue
           finely modeled with globular body divided by four flanges and each   355
           section finely chased with a floral medallion, the petal-shaped flaring
           rim finely chased with a three-claw dragon over ring-punched ground,
           a pair of mask-decorated ring handles connecting the vessel to the
           rim, all supported by three cabriole legs, the underside of the rim cast
           with a thirteen-character inscription within circle. (2)

           The inscription of the bronze jue may be read as: 乾隆三年仲冬吉旦
           製, and translated as: Made on the auspicious day of Winter in the 3rd
           year of Qianlong.
           The inscription of the pewter jue may be read as: 汕頭 双料正莊 德和
           號 真料點銅

           A CHAMPLEVÉ BLUE ENAMEL TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
           18th/19th century
           The compressed globular body flanked by a pair of dragon handles
           and raised on three mask-decorated cabriole legs, the domed
           openwork cover surmounted by an openwork knob featuring a dragon
           amidst scrolling clouds below a shou medallion, the shou medallion
           repeats on the cover, the vessel, and the legs, the blue enamel
           accentuated with dark purple in areas, the gilt metal finely detailed with
           scrolling lotus, bat and wan patterns.
