Song Dynasty
The conical sides rising from a knife-pared foot to a
gently indented rim, the interior and exterior bathed
in a thick russet glaze suffused with black streaks
becoming more prominent at the well and the lower
edge of the exterior, the glaze stopping unevenly
above the foot to reveal the dark brown biscuit, the
rim bound in metal.

The diminutive vessel rising on short, pad feet
supporting a globular body tapering into a narrow
neck and wide rim, covered with a thick glaze of
pale turquoise-blue with splashes of purple and to
the shoulder, rim, and body.
