AN UNUSUAL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL BELL
Jingtai mark
19th century
Raised on an hexagonal scalloped-edge rim, with
multiple registers of alternating masks of horned
mythical beasts set between fanciful zoomorphs
picked out in colorful enamels on a leiwen ground,
the bell surmounted by a cast bronze double-
dragon finial, a four-character Jingtai mark set in
white enamel near the base.

A PAIR OF CHAMPLEVÉ ENAMEL JARS
19th century
Each set on a separate conforming base cast
with ruyi shaped feet, the globular body executed
with abstract taotie masks enclosed in a field of
366 geometric volutes and c-commas imitating archaic
bronze patterns inlaid all over in turquoise and blue
enamels on a gilt ground under a cloud-collar band
at the shoulder, the short neck embellished with a
narrow band of c-scrolls under a floral and leaf chain
repeated on the foot. (2)
