A pair of blue and white sleeve vases
Kangxi
Each with a tall slightly flaring body boldly painted in underglaze blue
with three panels, two containing a bird perched on a flowering prunus
tree and the third panel containing a a bird in flight beside a double-
peony, the panels bordered by geometric ground between large ruyi-
shaped cartouches containing floral scrolls at the foot and rim, the inside
rim with a band of freely-painted pine leaves.
Each 39cm (15 3/8in) high (2).
