A pair of blue and white vases and covers
Kangxi
Each vase brightly painted with two panels
containing very similar scenes of three ladies
and a boy inside a palace looking over the walls
at another lady in the garden accompanied by
two maids with fans, the garden strewn with
precious objects and flowers in vases, all above a
decorative band containing scrolling medallions
above a row of foliate lappets pointing down
to the foot, the covers each painted with a
collection of precious objects in the medallion
encircled by floral lappets around the rim.
Each 39.5cm (15½in) high (4).
