Calligraphy Ink on silk damask, a pair of hanging scrolls,
Ink on paper, mounted, the calligraphy a inscribed on the right scroll and on the left
writing of the Tao Yuanming poem “Peach scroll bearing a signature reading Cheng
Blossom Spring”, dedicated to Qiansun, Qinwang with two seals reading Huang shi yi
dated san shi qi nian wuzi zhong qiu (1948, zi and Yijinzhai yin.
mid-autumn) and signed Wen Yongchen with 64 x 10 7/8in (162.5 x 27.6cm) each
three artist’s seals reading Wen, Yongchen
and diemenglou, the running script followed US$2,500 - 3,500
by a writing of the same poem in miniature
regular script, also dated san shi qi nian
(1948) and signed Yongchen with one seal
(illegible) (foxing, stains, wormage).
