6095 TWO RETICULATED SPINACH JADE COVERED VASES
Each designed as a covered vase surrounded by foliage: one carving
36 | BONHAMS including flowering magnolia and pine tree branches supporting
cranes, song birds and a parakeet on a moving perch, the pine
branches also forming the finial to the cover; the second displaying
a pine tree with sparser branches linked by a reticulated chain to a
separately carved barking puppy and also forming the cover to the
vase (chips); each with a lacquered softwood stand.

A CARVED JADE COVERED VASE
20th century
Of flattened baluster form, the waisted neck and flared foot
encircled by a repeating raised-relief band of stylized lotus petals,
the remaining surfaces of the body and fitted-lid covered in a mesh
of densely perforated scrolling lotus and vine motifs, the stone of
greenish-white hue (chip).

A LARGE HARDSTONE ‘NINE DRAGON’ BASIN
20th century
The icy greenish white stone carved and undercut with writhing
dragons clambering over the surface of the vessel heavily carved with
a dense pattern of cloud scrolls.
