An inscribed nephrite snuff bottle
Likely Imperial Workshops, 1760-1800
Of flattened spade shape, with a flat everted
lip and flat foot, one side with a intaglio
carved depiction of a lotus, reversed by a
poem finely incised in regular script titled
Yu Ti He Hua Shi (Imperially Inscribed Lotus
Poem), followed by a twenty-character poetic
inscription, the interior well-hollowed, the
stone with black and grey inclusions.

A white and russet nephrite snuff bottle
1776 or 1836
Of natural pebble form, the interior well-
hollowed, with one side carved in low relief with
a wild orchid growing from a vertical cliff face,
with a six character inscription in relief reading
Bingshen Juyue Xing zuo (1776/1836, the
chrysanthemum month, Xing created), the stone
an even white tone with russet streaks.
