Provenance:
Acquired in Taiwan, 1960’s

Ye Wenzhou received his Juren degree in 1786.
He was further posted as an official in Fujian
province and in 1815 relocated to Jiayi, Taiwan.
As a finger painter he was strongly influenced
by Gao Qipei (1660-1734). His extant works are
fairly rare, with examples in the National Taiwan
Museum of Fine Arts (Guoli Taiwan Meishuguan)
and the Zhang Yunzhong collection.
