A WHITE JADE BELT HOOK One possibly Ming, the other Qing
18th Century One of a mythical horned leonine beast in a slightly coiled position
The very white stone of attractive even color with a high polish, with her cub clambering on her back and with their bushy tails
carved and pierced with a sinuous chilong on the tapering shaft entwined, the amber of a transparent pale honey tone; the other
grasping a lingzhi spray in its mouth and facing the dragon-head of a darker semi-opaque brown amber depicting a tiger standing
terminal of the belt, the underside with an oval button. on rockwork next to a pine tree with a monkey clambering in its
4 1/2in (11.6cm) long, wood stand branches above (2) the first 3 5/16in (8.4cm) long; the other 3
15/16in (10cm) high
