SNUFF BOTTLE
Fuzhou, Late 19th century
Of flattened globular form with a flat lip and flat
oval foot, with a reddish brown lacquer, each
face with a carved inscription in seal script,
with a dedication in running script to Zimei
renxiong, and dated xinsi (1881).

A CARVED JASPER SNUFF BOTTLE
1850-1930
Of spade form with a spreading neck, flat
lip, the two conforming panels on the front
and back carved with figures in a craggy
landscape against a key-fret patterned
ground, one depicting a horseman holding a
banner over his shoulder, the other featuring
two boys by a lotus pond; the brownish-red
stone displaying variated shades.
