A TWELVE-FOLD COROMANDEL LACQUER SCREEN
KANGXI PERIOD (1662 - 1722)
The twelve folds are carved to the front decorated with a continuous scene depicting ladies and
attendants in fenced garden scenes and pavilions. The borders are decorated with various mythical beasts
in exterior scenes. The reverse has numerous lines of calligraphy within similar borders.
