A Tibetan gilt copper alloy figure of Maitreya, seated on a half
lotus upon a square throne, dressed in a robe with beaded borders
and engraved flowers, the hands in dharmachakra mudra holding
lotus flower stems (one missing), blue colour on hair, cold painted
face with a pronounced and curled urna. Sealed. Central Tibet,
17th century. Weight 989 g. H. 17 cm.
