A pale green jade figure of Buddha
Late 19th century/early 20th century
Seated in dhyanasana above a separate possibly later, spinach-
green double-lotus pedestal, his hands held in meditational mudra
and wearing loose flowing robes layered over a dhoti, the face with
downcast eyes in peaceful expression, flanked by a pair of lobed ears
and surmounted by an iconic monk’s cap decorated in leaf lappet
motifs.
