A very rare embellished gilt-bronze abacus
19th century
The counting frame cast and assembled in rectangular form and
sectioned in two decks, each deck with eleven identically-spaced rods,
generally set with five counters at the lower deck and two counters
at the upper deck, the floral decorations at the frame and counters
all intricately set with various embellishments in vivid colours of red,
green, purple, white and pink.
