               The phoenix is a common motif used on Warrings States period jade
               ornaments, which can be found on jades excavated from tombs in Jin
               County, Luoyang, and Changfeng, Anhui. The phoenix decorative motif
               can also be found on ealry Han dynasty jades, such as ones excavated
               from the Nan Yuewang tomb, Guangzhou.
               此器為青黃玉,玉質溫潤,局部有白沁斑,側邊及鈎柱上有鐵鏽。鈎首
               雕一龍首,二龍角短而扶貼,鼻吻方平,兩側有髭;鈎面至鈎尾雕一側
               身鳳鳥,彎喙甚厚,羽冠後方羽鳥足前方,各有一刻繪斜線扭絲紋的長
               條羽束,軀體微微扭轉,以細陰線刻繪圓弧紋、S 紋等,尾羽蓬鬆;鈎
               柱上則雕飾圓弧紋與斜格菱形紋。
               洛陽金村戰國中晚期墓、安徽長豐戰國晚期墓的玉器,以及廣州南越王
               墓的西漢早期玉器,都見鏤雕鳳鳥紋,但鮮有如此件玉帶鈎上的鳳鳥紋
               如此端莊秀麗,生動自然。
