         A DING PERSIMMON-GLAZED CONICAL TEA
         BOWL
         NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
         The bowl is potted with thin widely flaring sides, supported on a short
         tapering foot, covered inside and out with a smooth persimmon glaze
         thinning to a moss-green tone at the rim. The foot ring is unglazed,
         revealing the greyish-brown biscuit body.
