A ‘CHICKEN BONE’ JADE ARCHAISTIC CENSER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The censer is well carved in archaic bronze gui form with two dragon-head handles. The
body is carved in relief on each side with a taotie mask among stylised geometric motifs.
The stone has a well-polished opaque tone with dark veining and fine blackish mottling.
