A VERY RARE BRONZE ‘XIEZHI’ WEIGHT
Xuande two-character mark and of the period
Finely cast as a mythical beast xiezhi standing foursquare on its
clawed feet, the dragon head with a single horn and mouth agape,
the tail flicked over its haunches, the body with pronounced backbone
and flaming flanks, on a rectangular base incised with Xuande two-
character mark.
