          A REPOUSSÉ GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF
          BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI
          QIANLONG SEVEN-CHARACTER
          INCISED MARK IN A LINE AND OF THE
          PERIOD (1736-1795)
          The Buddha is shown seated in dhyanasana on a
          double lotus base with hands in bhumisparsamudra,
          and wearing layered robes over a waist-tied dhoti,
          the hair arranged in tight curls surmounted by
          an usnisha. An inscription on top of the base in
          Tibetan and around the rim in Chinese, Tibetan and
          Mongolian, and the base is sealed with a base plate
          incised with a double vajra.
