One by the Ando Jubei Company, one by Kumeno Teitaro of Nagoya,
Taisho/Showa, 20th century
All of baluster form and decorated in the ginbari technique; the first
by Ando decorated with bamboo beneath pine branches in silver wire
on green ground, stamped Ando mark to footrim, 21.5cm high; the
second by Kumeno Teitaro of square section and decorated with a
continuous scene of birds amidst bamboo in red enamel, 25cm high;
and a smaller similar red example decorated with wisteria. 15

The cover decorated with pine, prunus and bamboo in silver wire on
pale green ground, stamped Jungin (Pure Silver) to rims and Ando
mark to base, 15cm long; a small bottle vase decorated with floral
design in silver wire on lavender ground, Ando mark to base, 16cm
high; a third slender baluster vase decorated with a band of shishi
amidst scrolling foliage overlaying flowering prunus issuing from rock
work in matt enamels.

The first of baluster form with a with a stylised geometric band to rim
in gilt wire on blue ground, stamped Jungin (Pure Silver) to rim and
Ando mark to base, 25cm high; the second of baluster form with
vertical black lotus band to front and back in silver wire on pale yellow
ground, stamped Ando mark to footrim.
