AN AQUAMARINE ‘MYTHICAL
BEAST’ SEAL
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The seal is carved to the upper finial with
a recumbent mythical beast with a long
bifurcated tail, above a chilong and bat
clambering up one narrow side, and a bat
hovering above a lingzhi spray on the other
side. The stone is of a transparent, pale
turquoise tone.

A PINK TOURMALINE PENDANT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone is carved with two chilong
clambering on the sides of a large lingzhi
head emerging from a branch bearing
smaller lingzhi. The translucent stone is of
an attractive, intense ruby-pink tone.
