This well-rounded jade carving has been used as a paperweight or could
be worn as a pendant. It features the auspicious “boy and lotus” motif,
symbolizing the wish for a male offspring. The smiling boy is portrayed
in a recumbent posture, inside a large lotus leaf, and holding onto the
curved stem of the lotus blossom we see on the underside. A vivid
              miniature sculpture with fine details.
