QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
one half of the buckle terminating in a mythical
beast head forming the hook, the other with an
accommodating rounded aperture, each section
of the buckle decorated in low relief as a mythical
beast mask with features accentuated with ruyi
motifs and a pair of thick rope-twist eyebrows,
the stone of an even white colour with light russet
inclusions to one half
