                    what her brilliant mind dreamed, and the black and white ‘Mythical
                                                                  ⮱᝺㤜ᆂ䱟♎䖧喑㔹䕆Ը⌲А㉍㗻叾ᒖ⮱ᄼ⨣ݴ
                    Beast’ bottle vase from the Qing dynasty captured our imagination in
                    such a way as to inspire the collection of the objects here today.  Yes,   ᑂᄻ͓⓭⮩γ᜾Ծιϧ⮱ᘠ׼߈喑᜽ᅞγ᜾ԾϷ
                    there was the enormous aesthetic pleasure when glimpsing a piece  ๖⮱䕆ԸLeiber͚స㬊㶀ࢇ➖乕ȡౕ㻭䈋͚స⨤
                    of Chinese porcelain, but we were also drawn to the rarity, the rich  க⮱᭯Ն喑᜾ԾजВ⢟ᓄ䈋ᓰᖲⰛ⮱Ả๔Ϙऄ喠
                    symbolism, and the glimpse into the artmaking and storytelling of the
                                                                  ह᭯喑᜾ԾΌ⌞⌞ౝ㷘䕆ψ⨤க⮱⼭ᰶᕔȠ䅽ჹ
                    extremely fascinating fi ve-millennium-old culture of China.  It was
                    that spark that was ignited when viewing a work of Chinese art, pure   ⮱䆎ᓢᘼ㓖᝭॥ᑂ喑ᓋႰԾ⮱㇫㒻ጒ㬊হ㈸丫ᄀ
                    propinquity.                                  ᘼ͚⿧ᣏ͚స䕆Ըᰶ㦄ρࡰᎡᗍͲ₤ट⮱ն๔
                    It became a favorite quest of Judy’s and mine to surround ourselves   ᪴ᬻȡ㔹ₐ᭜ౕ䓾䌊䰏ᣒ㼥䕆ψ͚స㬊㶀⣺৮⮱
                    with Chinese porcelain and pottery.  Our adoration of these works of  ᭯Ն喑吋⛰γ᜾Ծᓰ͚♎䭽ᣒ䓾䕆Ը᪴ᬻ⮱⍡᱈
                    art inspired some of Judy’s most beloved handbags and minaudières;
                                                                  ͸▘ȡ
                    the Chinese Foo Dog, the Resting Crane, the Crouching Tiger, the
                    Firecrackers, the Chinese Hand Warmer and others.  ᫩᭜喑ᩣ㫼͚స㬊㶀৮Ƞ䃀ႰԾ᭯ݨٲ⯵᜾Ծ⮱
                    From our very fi rst purchase from a small antiques shop in Budapest  ⩌≨᜽γ᜾হJudyᰭ๔⮱ᙈສȡ᜾Ծᄺ͚స㬊㶀
                    in 1946, to our personal exhibition of Chinese art at our East Hampton  ৮⮱䢫ᙈΌઌ⮩Judy㽚㼵ܧ็䃀຦ऺ㖟๔䰴
                    museum in 2008, our lives and our work have been inspired by Chi-
                                                                  ⮱᝸࠲হჳ䦟Ⅱᮣᮇს࠲ÿÿҸຯ͚స҈⡲䕍
                    nese art. We’ve delighted in the intricate designs and beautiful motifs
                    for the past seventy years, and we hope that these works of art will   ಸ᝸࠲Ƞ⦋勡᝸࠲Ƞ㜒㭻᝸࠲Ƞ✳〦ᮇს࠲Ƞ͚ᐼ
                    bring similar joy in their new homes.         ᝸✽᝸࠲ВࣷڣႰᐼ⮱͚సٰ㉍᝸࠲ȡ
