A TIELI BAMBOO-STYLE SIDE TABLE
LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The thick top panel is enclosed by a rectangular frame with a
double-moulded round edge, encircling the round-section corner
legs joined by rounded humpback stretchers wrapping around the
corners and set with panels of compressed oval shaped opening
along the sides, inspired by a bamboo prototype.

明末/清初 鐵力木「圓包圓」長方桌
桌子整體平材起混面，桌面攢邊打槽，邊抹冰盤沿，接垛邊，下安直棖，
均裹腿做，棖上分段鑲縧環板開炮仗洞，圓材腿足榫卯接入桌面。

「圓包圓」，工匠們稱「裹腿做」，意為混面（弧形的表面）的垛邊
和橫棖包裹著圓材腿的一種木工做法，意念來自於竹製傢具。王世襄
1990 年香港出版的《明式家具研究》中亦見數例，書中亦論述此做法
難度較高，耗費時間和技巧。鐵力木材質堅硬沉穩，北京故宮博物院亦
見清宮舊藏鐵力木傢具。《美成在久》2004 年於香港出版的《Chinese
