POND AND BIRD’ CARVING
18th century
Carved as two large lotus pods beside a lotus
blossom and a large lotus leaf joined with slender
reeds, the side decorated with a bird, the wings
highlighted in russet, the stone of white tone with
white and russet inclusions.
6.5cm (2 1/2in) long.
