AND CRANE’ LIBATION CUP
QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH
CENTURY
The cup is carved on one side with a crane
in flight above a deer, the other side with
another deer underneath hanging cliffs, a
pine tree trunk forming the handle of the
cup. The interior is lined with lacquer.

QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
In the form of a tree trunk, the brush pot
is carved in high relief with pine branches
bearing pine needles, as well as nodules
simulating pine tree bark.
