A PALE GREYISH-WHITE JADE FIGURE OF A DUCK
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The crested duck is shown seated on a furled lotus leaf and
grasping a lotus flower stem in its bill. The feathers on either side of
the body are finely incised and the stone is of a pale greyish-white
tone with dustings of russet and a few blackish-brown striations.
