                                                                               A QINGBAI OVOID VASE, MEIPING
                                                                               NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1127)
                                                                               The ovoid body is incised with six double vertical
                                                                               lines rising from the unglazed foot to a bowstring
                                                                               band encircling the rounded shoulder, all below a
                                                                               cylindrical neck and flanged mouth rim, covered
                                                                               with a translucent glaze of pale blue-tinged tone
                                                                               that ends above the foot to expose the white body.
