Earth is one of the most

ubiquitous materials, and thus, in

most cultures, one of the earliest

from which vessels were made.

Usually in plentiful supply, it

tends to be versatile, easy to handle,

and therefore very practical.

It was used in most Neolithic

cultures as it still is today.
