          each delicately potted with ogee sides rising from a short                                                 the domed hemispherical body rising to a short waisted neck
          foot, the exterior applied with a rich lemon yellow enamel,                                                and a lipped rim, incised with three circular roundels enclosing
          the interior and base left white, the latter inscribed with a six-                                         a stylised archaistic dragon, the exterior covered with a rich
          character seal mark in underglaze blue                                                                     crimson-red glaze suffused with light green spotting imitating

          The lemon-yellow enamel, which is a pastel tone mixed with
          white and therefore opaque, was used primarily for small                                                   Peachbloom waterpots of this shape known as taibo zun after
          cups and dishes. See another pair of Qianlong lemon-yellow                                                 the wine jar of the poet Li Taibo, belong to the eight peachbloom
          dishes of this size and form, sold in these rooms, 3rd April                                               wares for the scholar’s desk, of which a complete set in
