A circular soup plate with a wide and slightly 23 Soup
upturned rim, stands on a short foot. Painted Plate
in several shades of underglaze cobalt blue, it
is decorated with a central medallion enclosing Porcelain decorated in
the front façade of Tullgarn Palace, above underglaze cobalt blue
the inscription ‘TULLGARNS SLOTT ANNO
MDCCXCVI’, which is framed by a stylised leaf China — Qing dynasty,
border between two concentric circles, and another Jiaqing period
circle in the cavetto. Four coats of arms, two of (1796-1820)
which are of the Swedish armed forces, another
of Östergötlands and the other of the House of Ø 25 cm
Holstein-Gottorp, are painted on opposite sides
to each other on the rim, in a border of stylised Provenance
scrolling foliage, edged by a blue band round Gustaf Oscar
