               The vase is finely potted with a bulbous body and two raised bands
               encircling the long waisted neck flaring to a garlic-shaped mouth. The   展覽

               Compare to a vase similar in shape and glaze in the collection of the Palace
               Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of
               the Palace Museum: Monochrome Porcelain, Hong Kong, 1999, cat. no. 215
               (fig. 1). Another closely related vase of slightly smaller size (17.8 cm.) was
               sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 9 April 2006, lot 1610. A Ru-type vase of this
               form with ‘garlic-mouth’ and slightly larger size is illustrated in Ethereal
