Qianlong
The delicate vase shaped as a double gourd
moulded with a geometric floral ground and
enamelled in imitation of cinnabar lacquer, the foot
with stiff lappets and the neck with pendent ruyi-
heads and lappets, a moulded ribbon tied around
the waist and highlighted with green enamel.

An unusual pair of iron-red and gilt
shell containers for the scholar’s
desk
Qianlong yuzhi seal marks, late Qing/Republic
The dishes each elaborately formed as hollow
spiralling shells raised on four low feet, the exterior
richly enamelled in iron-red and sprinkled with gilt
splashes, the interior glazed turquoise.
Each 13.6cm (5 3/8in) long (2).
